In 2017 the Hockey club SKA won two top rewards at once: the Gagarin Cup and the gold medal of the Russian championship. On the 28th of May in honor of this double victory a parade of champions and a festive concert took place in St. Petersburg on Palace Square.

The Hockey trophies were transported along Nevskiy Prospect. All the parade participants were greeted by thousands of St. Petersburg fans. The final destination of the champions procession was Palace Square, where members of the hockey team, management and staff of SKA were awarded with gold medals of champions of Russia and memorable personalised rings.
Three times Olympic and ten times world champion Vladislav Tretiak participated in the award ceremony. After the ceremony there was an amazing festive concert with the participation of popular Russian singers like Yolka, Grigory Leps, IOWA, L’One and the band “Leningrad”.
According to various estimates the event attracted more than 200 thousand people.
